Announcing: A New Song For Herman

After the huge success of the first book, There and Back Again: A Herman Tale, we are beyond excited to announce the launch of A New Song For Herman, thesecond title in the Herman the Monster series.

In A New Song for Herman, we rejoin our monster friends in Sarah’s cafe where Herman, now store manager, entertains his Street Monster pals each morning with their favourite hot beverage – the Double Trouble Chocolate Bubble Vanilla Truffle Moccachino (with sprinkles). However, they soon notice that all is not well with Herman. He hasn’t been able to sleep lately due to spooky sounds drifting from the attic, and the cafe is suffering for it. Could it be the mythical Attic Monster? The only way to find out is for Herman and his little pal Carpet to go up to the attic and confront their fears. If they don’t, Sarah’s cafe may go out of business!

In today’s world of colour-coded alerts, terror-focused news, and turbulent political landscapes, fear is passed down to our children. Now more than ever, it is important to teach them to acknowledge these emotions and confront them head on.

Author Paul McAllister is excited about the way in which the new book tackles these subjects. “When we address the issue of fear, we do it in the most approachable way possible. A New Song for Herman is a great way to discuss sensitive issues while remaining fun and entertaining, and for lack of a better word, cute! Kid’s love Herman and what he represents, and I’m certain that with Emily’s bright and lyrical illustrations, that love will continue on for many adventures to come.”

Pre-orders are now up (follow the link here). Get your order in now to ensure that you receive a signed copy of the first edition for the child in your life!
