This Pride month, we wanted to take the opportunity to highlight some of our amazing books that teach some very valuable lessons! Join us as we explore the ABC’s of important books to pick up this June!
A is for Accessibility! – Mitzy’s First Time Picking Sweetgrass
This book explores an important indigenous teaching through Mitzy as she learns to go sweetgrass picking with her mom! This story was made into an accessible book featuring a reflowable format, audio recordings, image descriptions, and more! B is for Bravery! – Penny’s Triumphant Turnaround
As Penny runs into a bully at school, she has to learn how to find her own voice through identity, acceptance and healthy mental health practices. This book gently deals with growing up in a story you’re sure to love.

As Alanna helps her grandmother make a super special sauce, she learns about how giving back to her community is the best way to bring smiles for generations to come. This book is a wonderful example of how important it is to come together as a community and look out for each other.
