Kelly Cooper teaches art and writes poetry, short fiction, and most recently, books for children (If a Horse Had Words, 2018 and Midnight and Moon, 2022, both NB Book Award winners). Kelly grew up in Saskatchewan and now lives on a farm in New Brunswick. Her favourite colours are the lime green of new leaves and the deep blue of a prairie sky.

Jen DesRoche is an artist based in Summerside, Prince Edward Island. She’s been creating art since childhood, encouraged by a supportive mother who always made space for creativity, no matter how messy. Jen draws inspiration from the natural world and the quiet beauty of everyday life.  Creating has always felt natural to Jen. It’s how she expresses the feelings that are hardest to put into words.
